Dr Mary White, one of Australia’s leading environmental writers, will be talking about the history and development of the Australian continent, our human interaction with it, and the steps we need to take to create a sustainable future for our unique country.

- What does Australia need to do differently to other countries, given its unique makeup?
- Is Australia on track with its climate change strategies? What does sustainable land and water use look like for Australia?
Dr Mary White is the author of seven books including the Greening of Gondwana, and her latest title ‘Earth Alive’. She makes her home at Falls Forest Retreat, south of Port Macquarie, which she has converted to a Nature Reserve and environmental education centre. Dr White lectures and teaches on the wide-ranging topics covered in her books.
