The Bellingen Shire Transition Initiative (BSTI) began as a project of the Bellingen Climate Action Group in February 2008 and joined the international Transition Network (www.transitiontowns.org) a few months later. Our goal is to create a resilient and conscious community that can meet the coming challenges of climate change and peak oil.
Now is the time for us to start re-creating our future in ways that are based on localised food, sustainable energy sources, resilient local economies and an enlivened sense of community well-being.
